Light starts by changing the normal Cleric play pattern through Domain Spells; Bonus Cantrip; Warding Flare, giving the subclass its first clear mechanical identity.
Later features such as Channel Divinity: Radiance of the Dawn, Improved Flare, Potent Spellcasting expand that identity at higher levels, so the subclass has a clearer role in combat, exploration, utility, or support.
