Warden FAQ
What are the main Warden class features?
The Warden's main features are Shadow-lore, Warded Lands, Fighting Style, Virtue or Craft choices, a Warden Oath, Rumour of the Earth, Extra Attack, improvements to Shadow-lore and Warded Lands, an additional Oath feature, and Long Stride. The calling progresses to 10th level and specialises through Forayer or Hunter.
The Warden's progression blends martial advancement with travel expertise.
1st level: Shadow-lore
Shadow-lore identifies the Warden's specialised enemy knowledge.
The feature improves later as the calling gains levels.
1st level: Warded Lands
The Warden selects regions in which the character is exceptionally competent.
Warded Lands improves the Warden's relevant Intelligence and Wisdom checks, journey endurance, travel pace, and tracking inside the chosen regions.
Additional regions are gained later.
2nd level: Fighting Style
The Warden chooses a martial Fighting Style.
2nd level onward: Virtues and Crafts
The calling gains repeated Virtue choices and can take Crafts at selected levels instead.
3rd level: Warden Oath
Choose Forayer or Hunter.
The Oath grants another feature at 7th level.
3rd level: Rumour of the Earth
The Warden can sense the presence of favoured foes in a broad area, with increased range inside Warded Lands.
5th level: Extra Attack
The Warden attacks twice with the Attack action.
6th and 10th level: exploration improvements
Shadow-lore and Warded Lands improve as the Warden becomes more experienced.
7th level: Oath feature
Forayer gains stronger hiding capability.
Hunter gains its later specialist feature according to the chosen prey style.
9th level: Long Stride
Long Stride improves the Warden's movement and interaction with difficult terrain in Warded Lands.
