Mercy starts by changing the normal Monk play pattern through Implements of Mercy; Hand of Healing; Hand of Harm, giving the subclass its first clear mechanical identity.
Later features such as Physician’s Touch, Flurry of Healing and Harm, Hand of Ultimate Mercy expand that identity at higher levels, so the subclass has a clearer role in combat, exploration, utility, or support.
