Kensei
Master selected weapons and enhance them with ki.
Kensei starts by changing the normal Monk play pattern through Path of the Kensei, giving the subclass its first clear mechanical identity.
Later features such as One with the Blade, Sharpen the Blade, Unerring Accuracy expand that identity at higher levels, so the subclass has a clearer role in combat, exploration, utility, or support.
Path of the Kensei
3rd level
Choose kensei weapons and gain Agile Parry, ranged bonus damage, artistic tool training, and magical kensei weapon attacks.
One with the Blade
6th level
Kensei weapons count as magical and can spend ki to add martial-arts damage to one hit.
Sharpen the Blade
11th level
Spend ki to grant a nonmagical kensei weapon a temporary attack and damage bonus.
Unerring Accuracy
17th level
Reroll one missed monk-weapon attack on each turn.
