Path of Elemental Ninjutsu FAQ
How does Path of Elemental Ninjutsu interact with Chakra Natures and Techniques?
The Path expands access to Nature Techniques rather than replacing the normal technique system. Elemental Adept grants two extra Nature Techniques from a nature already available to you, Secondary Nature adds access to another standard nature and another free technique, and later features modify or discount Nature Techniques specifically.
Chakra Origin still matters
Your Chakra Origin establishes which Nature or Heritage access you start with. The Path then builds on that existing access.
Extra techniques do not consume normal known slots
The techniques granted by Elemental Adept and Secondary Nature are additional selections, provided they satisfy your current maximum rank.
Not every technique is a Nature Technique
Universal, Heritage and Path Techniques do not automatically gain Elemental Adept, Elemental Shaping or Nature Mastery benefits. Those features specifically refer to Nature Techniques.
Higher ranks arrive from the base class
Choosing this Path does not accelerate maximum technique rank. Rank II, III, IV and V still arrive through the Shinobi class progression.
Origin and Path remain separate choices
A Shinobi's Chakra Origin describes what chakra or inherited power they possess; the Path describes how they train. An elemental Path can therefore be combined with different valid Origins according to the class rules.
