Does the standard 2014 Human get a feat?
No. The standard Human in the 2014 Basic Rules does not receive a feat at 1st level. The well-known Variant Human is a separate optional Player's Handbook variant and uses a different trait package rather than being an automatic addition to the standard Human.
Standard Human
The Basic Rules package is +1 to every ability score plus the ordinary Human size, speed and language traits.
Variant Human is separate
Variant Human changes the trait package and is an optional variant rather than a hidden extra benefit of every Human.
Do not combine both packages
A character should not receive +1 to all six scores and also receive the Variant Human feat/skill package unless a campaign has deliberately created a house-rule combination.
2024 Human is separate again
The 2024 Human has a different trait package. Its feat-related design is separate from the 2014 standard Human described here.
Standard Human versus Variant Human
Variant Human should be treated as a separate optional rules package rather than folded into the standard Human automatically.
