Path of the Giant FAQ
How does Path of the Giant interact with Rage?
Nearly every defining Giant combat feature is active while raging. Giant's Havoc, Elemental Cleaver and Mighty Impel all depend on Rage, while Demiurgic Colossus upgrades those Rage-based features.
What Rage activates
Rage activates Giant's Havoc, Elemental Cleaver, and Mighty Impel, turning the Barbarian into a larger reach-and-positioning threat. Demiurgic Colossus later upgrades those same Rage-based tools.
What remains useful outside Rage
Giant Power supplies the path's language and minor magical flavor outside Rage, while the Barbarian can still fight normally with weapons and Strength-based movement. The signature size, elemental weapon, and throwing package waits for Rage.
The normal Rage restrictions still matter
Giant's Havoc and Elemental Cleaver are built around Rage, but they do not remove its normal 2014 restrictions. A multiclass caster must still choose between concentrating on magic and entering the enlarged, element-charged combat state that powers the Path.
Why Rage duration matters
When Rage ends, the enlarged form and Rage-gated giant features end with it. This makes Rage duration a tactical resource: losing it can reduce reach, remove the returning elemental weapon effect, and shut down Mighty Impel.
