Death Domain FAQ
What are the main Death Domain features?
The main 2014 Death Domain features are martial weapon proficiency and Reaper at 1st level, Channel Divinity: Touch of Death at 2nd, Inescapable Destruction at 6th, necrotic Divine Strike at 8th and Improved Reaper at 17th. The Domain also supplies an always-prepared necromancy-focused spell list.
1st level — Bonus Proficiency
You gain proficiency with martial weapons.
1st level — Reaper
Learn one necromancy cantrip from any spell list. When you cast a necromancy cantrip that normally targets only one creature, the feature can let the same casting target a second creature within range when the two targets are close enough to one another.
2nd level — Channel Divinity: Touch of Death
When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can spend Channel Divinity to deal additional necrotic damage equal to 5 + twice your Cleric level.
6th level — Inescapable Destruction
Necrotic damage dealt by your Cleric spells and Channel Divinity ignores resistance to necrotic damage.
8th level — Divine Strike
Once on each of your turns when you hit with a weapon attack, you can deal an extra 1d8 necrotic damage. At 14th Cleric level, the extra damage becomes 2d8.
17th level — Improved Reaper
When you cast a necromancy spell of 1st through 5th level that normally targets only one creature, the feature can also target a second eligible creature close to the first. Material components must be supplied separately for each target when the spell consumes them.
Base Cleric features continue
Death Domain still uses Wisdom-based prepared Cleric Spellcasting, normal Channel Divinity uses, Turn Undead, Destroy Undead and Divine Intervention.
